Supporting mental health through local workshops tailored for the Muslim community.

Mental Health Awareness Session aimed at fostering understanding, raising awareness, and building stronger family connections within our community. The event explored key aspects of mental health, including addressing challenges such as family and social connection issues. Participants learned about mental health issues affecting the youth of today and discussed the need for open communication between parents and their children.

Parham Seyedmazhari Helpline Counsellor from Naseeha Mental Health, with a B.Sc in Psychology from McMaster University
Sarah Danial Psychiatrist specializing in child psychiatry, with an M.D. from the University of Alberta
Shaykh Asad Mehmood Sheikh from Mosque Aisha.
Each shared their expertise through engaging presentations and discussions, providing invaluable insights and actionable steps for supporting mental well-being in our community.
